Physical print and stencil validation
Status
Software PDF geometry is VERIFIED. Physical printer, copier, stencil-media,
thermal-printer, coin, and final-ruler measurements are NOT TESTED in the
current environment.
Required test record
Record:
- app version and commit;
- Print Path Profile ID/name/code and status;
- every stage configuration;
- calibration-tool and correction-formula versions;
- master and stencil media;
- generated PDF checksum;
- nominal and measured horizontal/vertical values;
- measuring instrument and operator;
- date, ambient/setup notes, and photos without client information.
Multi-stage protocol
- Generate the diagnostic paper-master sheet.
- Print at 100% / Actual Size with Fit to Page off.
- Optionally measure the paper master for stage-1 diagnosis.
- Run the same output through the normal copier and stencil media.
- Measure the final stencil X/Y bars.
- Record the diagnostic values.
- Generate the corrected final-stencil verification sheet.
- Repeat every stage without changing settings.
- Measure the corrected final stencil.
- Accept verification only against an owner-approved tolerance.
- Export a known fixture with the profile and measure both final 100 mm
rulers again.
For a direct stencil printer, omit the master stage but still measure,
correct, reprint, remeasure, and verify the final stencil.
Invalidation
Reverification is required after any printer, copier, source device, print app,
driver, paper/stencil media, size, orientation, scale, borderless, quality,
heat, speed, density, carrier, tool-version, or formula-version change.
Name-only and notes-only changes do not invalidate the measurement history.
Pass/fail
TatMapper currently does not invent a universal shop tolerance. The owner must
define and approve the acceptance threshold using physical evidence. Until
then, every physical target remains NOT TESTED or FAILED, never inferred from
software coordinates.
