TatMapper Placement Card

The Placement Card is TatMapper’s perspective-correction backup. A U.S. quarter is the recommended quick scale reference. The card is useful when four visible corners and planar rectification are preferable, and it remains independent from Print Setup: an artist can generate it without identifying or calibrating a printer.

The vector PDF supports A4 and U.S. Letter and contains:

• an exact 100.00 mm reference;
• an exact 4.00 inch (101.60 mm) reference;
• an exact 50.00 mm square;
• one reusable 50.00 mm card with four high-contrast numbered corners on the default first page;
• an optional second page of extra cards; and
• Actual Size / Fit to Page instructions.

The square and labelled bars are authoritative. Branding and internal patterns are decoration only.

Use

1. Print or share the Placement Card PDF.
2. Print at 100% / Actual Size with Fit to Page disabled.
3. Measure a reference bar.
4. Cut out a card without damaging the inner square.
5. Place the card in the same physical plane as the tattoo placement.
6. Capture/import the photo and align all four numbered handles.
7. Keep the final PDF ruler measurement as a separate required check.

The Placement Card corrects photo perspective for one plane. It does not correct a printer and does not model body curvature.
